The Anytime Fitness Stadium Stair Race is an exciting event at Domain Stadium now in its second year.


The unique course will take you up, down and through the iconic venue, back of house and exclusive areas of the venue, finishing on the hallowed turf under the stadium lights! This event is unique to WA and the only one of its kind here in Perth.


Participants will be supporting Western Australians living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Conditions of Entry

The following Conditions of Entry apply to Domain Stadium for the comfort, safety and enjoyment of all patrons.


1. Domain Stadium Management reserves the right to refuse entry to any persons.


2. Domain Stadium is a smoke free venue (including electronic or vapour cigarettes that give off smoke orvapour).


3. Domain Stadium is a prescribed venue. Alcoholic beverages must not be taken into or out of Domain Stadium.


4. Management reserves the right to inspect any bag and/or articles of clothing.


5. The following items are prohibited (these items may be cloaked at Gate 8):

  • alcohol
  • cans/glass/ceramics
  • whistles/horns/drums
  • flags/banners/items exceeding 1 metre in length and thicker than a standard broom handle
  • professional cameras, audio recording equipment or video cameras (camera lens must be less than 200mm)
  • helmets, prams and any large item that cannot be placed under your seat
  • items that in the opinion of management could cause harm or public nuisance.


6. Management reserves the right to refuse admission or service to any person or persons failing to comply with the following dress requirements:

  • Clothing and footwear is to be worn at all times
  • Any other clothing or accessory bearing patches or insignia of gangs are not to be worn.


7. No ticket refunds will be paid.


8. Umbrellas are permitted inside Domain Stadium however cannot be opened within Domain Stadium.


9. Patrons must not climb on or over any fence, gate or other barrier in any way. Patrons entering the playing arena without prior authorisation will be liable for prosecution.


10. Patrons involved in anti social behavior, fighting or excessive swearing/abuse will be removed from the venue.

Domain Stadium has a strict patron suspension policy.
Domain Stadium encourages patrons to use the SMS your SOS system to notify management of patrons who may be breaching the conditions of entry.

How much does the event cost?

EARLY BIRD (closes 18 December 2015)
Full Climb (6,000 steps + 1km run)
Half Climb (3,000 steps + 1km run)
Mini Climb (1,200 steps + 1km run)
Family (2 adults + 2 children) – Mini Climb only


What does my registration fee include?

Race bib and timing chip. This can be collected from the registration desk on the day.

Can I register on the day?

To guarantee your place, we suggest you register early in case the event sells out. If places are still available on the day registrations will be from 7am. Please note, an extra $15 will be charged for on the day registrations.

How do I find my start time?

Your start time will be emailed to you the week of the event. Start times will also be posted online at

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your allocated time to pick up your race bib and timing chip.


How many people will be in my starting group?

Each start time will have approx. 20-25 people. If you have entered a team, and you are all doing the same challenge, you will all be given the same start time.

Where can I leave my bag/jumper?
We suggest that you only bring what you need – water, a jacket for after the climb, and a small amount of food. If you bring extra items, we can look after them in our cloaking area. All care will be taken but we accept no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
Can my family watch me climb?
Yes, a special area will be allocated for family members to watch you climb. This area will be clearly marked, or Just ask one of our friendly volunteers.
Can I listen to my iPod?
No, iPods, headphones, mp3’s etc. are not permitted. You need to be able to hear the direction of the course marshals and participants coming up behind you.
Can I take my water bottle with me?
Yes, you can carry a water bottle with you. There will be aid stations throughout the course, should you need to re-fill your bottle on your way around the Stadium. Please do not tip water over your head to cool down as this may cause the steps to get slippery.
I am no longer able to attend, can I get a refund?
No, your entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
What if I can’t finish the climb on the day?
If you experience difficulty during the climb, please make your way to the nearest marshal, who will call first aid. If you are unable to make your way to a marshal, stay where you are and ask a team member, or other participant to, contact a marshal for you.
How many people can I have in my team?
As many as you like! Whether it is just you and a friend, or your whole sporting group, teams are a great way to keep motivated with your training, your fundraising and on the day.
Does my team all have to enter the same challenge?
No. You can have team members enter the Full, Half or Mini Climbs. Each division will be allocated a different start time. So, even though you may not all run together, you can cheer each other on at the start, during the climb and of course be there when each other crosses the finish line.
I have a lot of people to register, how do I enter my team?
If your Company is covering your team entry fees, or you need help in getting your team registered, call the MS Events Department on 6454 3131.
Why should I fundraise for MS?
You are making a valuable difference to someone’s life. Every dollar raised through the Stadium Stair Race goes to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (MSWA). MSWA provides support and care to the thousands of Western Australians living with MS and other neurological conditions.
What do I do if I have been given cash or cheques?
You can bring these with you on the day. We will have volunteers on hand to collect any payments that you have received and also issue any receipts that are needed. You can also deposit this money straight into our account, please call the MSWA Events Team on 6454 3131 for more information.
My team ticket code is not working.
The code you have been issued only works for a specific team. To join the team you will need to go to the team page and click the blue ‘Join our Team’ button. If you have any problems, feel free to call the MSWA Events Team on 6454 3131 and register over the phone.
How do I set up a team?
Every participant needs to register. At the end of the registration process you are given an option of setting up a team. If you have already registered and now wish to set up a team, give the MSWA Events Team a call on 6454 3131, or email your team name to and we can do that for you.
I can’t upload a photo my page.
It may be that your image is too big. Please compress the file to 150×150 and try again. Otherwise, email it through to and we can upload it for you.
My friend has registered and now wishes to join the team.
Not a worry, just email your team name and the name of the solo participant to the MSWA Events Team at and we’ll join them to the team.

I want to register, but don’t want a fundraising page.

Fundraising is not compulsory; however the fundraising pages are built into our registration system.

To make fundraising easy, we just make the tools available should you wish to use them. If for some reason you do not wish your name to display on the website, and wish to hide your page, please call the MSWA Events Team on 6454 3131.


  1. I assume the risk of and accept full responsibility for, any and all injuries, including death and accidents which may occur as a result of my participation in the Event.
  2. I, for myself, my heirs and assignees, hold harmless and release from liability, Perth Stadium Management (PSM), Perth Integrated Health, St John Ambulance, The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Western Australia (Inc) (MSWA), all staff, marshals and other Event officials and medical personnel involved in coordinating or running the Event or otherwise in connection with the Event, and their agents, employees, officers and directors (collectively, “Releasees”) from any claims, demands, debts, suits, losses, damages, fines, penalties, liabilities, costs and expenses, including legal fees, expenses, court costs, in respect of any causes of action whatsoever of every name and nature, both in law and in equity, to any person or property arising from or claimed to have arisen from my participation in the Event to the extent permitted by law.
  3. I hereby waive any claim I may have against any of the Releasees as a result of my participation in the Event and in any other activities connected with the Event.
  4. I waive any and all claims against the Releasees for any loss or damage (by theft, damage or otherwise) to any of my property and the Releasees shall have no obligation to safeguard or secure my property.

I represent and warrant that I am 18 years or older. I have read and understood the above event conditions and waiver and agree to these terms and conditions. If the participant is under 18 years of age, I, the parent/guardian have consented to the participant’s participation in the Event on the terms and conditions and waiver.

Note: To execute the agreement and waiver below, you must be 18 years or older. If you are under 18 years of age, you will be required to obtain parental / guardian consent for participation in the event, as further provided below.

Event Conditions

I accept the event conditions and waiver in consideration for my participation in Stadium Stair Race (Climb) event (Event), and with the understanding that my participation in the Event is permitted only on the condition that I sign this form.

I confirm that I have read and agree to the event conditions pertaining to the Event including the rules and what is required to complete the Event as set out below.

  1. I hereby assume the inherent and extraordinary risks involved in my participation in the Event and any risks inherent in any other activities connected with my participation in the Event.
  2. I warrant that I am physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in strenuous physical activities, including the Event, and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical practitioner.
  3. I understand that it is my responsibility to reduce the intensity or stop exercise during the Event when it would be reasonable to do so.
  4. I acknowledge that the individuals involved with coordinating and running the Event (Organisers) are not trained medical professionals.
  5. I agree to abide by all rules and instructions during my participation in the Event including any requirement that I cease my participation which is deemed necessary by Event medical staff.
  6. I consent to receive medical treatment that may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident or illness during the Event. In doing so I grant the medical personnel permission to access all my medical records as required and to authorize any medical treatment that they may consider advisable.
  7. In the event of a medical emergency, I authorise any Organiser to secure from any licensed hospital, physician and/or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care, and I agree that I will be solely responsible for payment of any and all such medical treatment.
  8. I grant the Event operators and owners and their affiliated entities and/or the media my permission and authority to use my name, image, voice, and/or likeness in any format including commercial advertisement, promotional materials, and any/or record obtained during the Event for any purpose whatsoever without compensation.
  9. I undertake to inform the Event organisers of my inability to participate in the Event at the earliest possible opportunity. I acknowledge that my entry fee will be non-refundable if I withdraw and that my application fee cannot be transferred to another person.
  10. I acknowledge that the Event organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone or modify the Event due to unforeseen circumstances including (without limitation) wind, rain, storm or other “Act of God”, in which case my entry fee will not be refunded.
  11. The Event organisers reserve the right to reject / refuse my entry at their absolute discretion and without any requirement that a reason be given. If the Event organisers exercise this right they will refund my entry fee.
  12. I agree at all times to comply with the directions of organising staff, marshals and medical personnel or anyone appointed as an official for the Event.
